Is it safe to buy things on Ebay? how safe it is really?

I have bought quite a bit of stuff on Ebay. I really did not have a problem with any of the sellers. The first thing I do is check the seller feedback. If he has a high rate of good feedback and then I read the comments of past buyers. It is really safe.
