Why are conservatives so "consumed" by the Wiener affair?

One thing I know is that Republicans run on MORAL VALUES and yet they don't follow it..... That is more hypocrisy than Democrats who does not run generally on those. Also, Anthony Weiner basically did was flirting with a bunch of woman in social networks like many Americans do on those sites. He did not do anything physically.
