3 months old parrot bought, please help me on how to make my parrot my friendly parrot?

What type of parrot is it? Okay the parrots are young, young enough for you to tame them before they hit maturity at the age of 2/3. What I do, is sit by the cage of your birds for 10 to 15 minutes a day. Just read a book or a magazine aloud to them, and this will show them that your not going to hurt them. Dont touch the cage, or try and touch them. Do this for a week. Then you can try and offer it a treat through the cage bar. They might not take it right away, but keep trying! Do this for a week. They will get used to your hands. Try a slice of apple or something tasty like that. Then, open the cage door and offer them the slice of apple inside their cage. If they snap or scream take out your hand and turn the other way and ignore them. They will soon get the message. Once you do this and they are happy around your hands/finger, you can try teaching them step up. Good luck. Oh and you should check out some youtube videos on how to tame parrots ect..
